Profile
After a decade in corporate business (Liberty Corporation, The York Group, and PreNeed Solutions), I shifted my career to my true passion for independent education. I began my journey in education as a part-time Middle and High School English teacher. I was soon blessed to serve full-time by also becoming a part of the the administrative team focusing on marketing, public relations, and communications. I continued to serve for 21 years ultimately serving as principal, assistant head of school, and as head of school. I also served as an adjunct professor of leadership for our dual-enrollment program through Troy University.
In 2024, I founded The Port Indigo Company, an independent consultancy for independent schools and non-profit organizations. The largest portion of my service is partnering with Independent Schools for accreditation preparation, MIssion/Vision/Values development, organizational alignment, professional development/faculty workshops, educational technology/media strategy, communications/strategic messaging, and admissions/enrollment strategies. I are also support the South Carolina Independent School Association through accreditations and educational leadership workshops.
In addition to my consultancy, I also serve on the executive leadership team at Trinity Collegiate School in Darlington, SC as the Director of Admissions and Enrollment.
In the education community, I am proud to serve on the Erskine Alumni Board and as well as on USC-Sumter’s Education Foundation Partnership Board.
