My four years at Erskine were some of the best of my life, and helped shape me into the person I am today. The confidence I gained while there empowered me to seek and grow in internships at CNN in Atlanta, and WYFF (NBC) in Greenville.

While at Erskine, I was active on the student newspaper. Majoring in English honed my writing skills and helped equip me with the foundational writing ability needed to report daily in a broadcast news setting.

I went on to my first job in broadcasting as reporter and sports anchor at WTHI (CBS) in Terre Haute, IN. Subsequent jobs took me to WLTX (CBS) in Columbia, SC; KXTV (ABC) in Sacramento, CA; and finally WGCL (CBS) in Atlanta, GA. In all, I reported on-air in markets around the country, including 15 days embedded with the South Carolina National Guard in Afghanistan (2007), for 15 years. My work from Afghanistan was awarded an Emmy in 2009.

In 2017, I launched McLeod Media, a video and film production company that serves clients and projects around the U.S. and the world. Our website is McLeodMedia.net
