Profile

Dr. Keisha Bentley is a 2006 graduate of Erskine College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science. She later went on to earn a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University and a Master of Science in Biotechnology and Doctor of Health Administration, both from Morehouse School of Medicine.

She is an educator, dually certified in South Carolina (science & administration) and New York (Biology 7-12). She holds additional industry and educational certifications in clinical research coordination, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, AP biology, AP psychology, PLTW Biomedical Sciences, and the South Carolina Gifted and Talented endorsement. She has also co-authored publications on improving diversity in the biotechnology and health informatics sectors.

Dr. Bentley’s engagement in leadership and service initiatives is evident through her membership in Marquis Who’s Who, American College of Healthcare Executives, National Association of Health Services Executives, Furman University Riley Institute Diversity Leaders Initiative Fellowship, Korn Ferry Foundation Leadership U for Humanity, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Dr. Bentley is currently a STEM Education Specialist and Co-facilitator of the Battelle Teacher Academy for the SC STEM Coalition, formerly the SC Coalition for Mathematics and Science, at Clemson University. In this role she enjoys supporting student outcomes through collaborative work with district and building leaders, classroom teachers, and community outreach.  This joint effort enables the realization of a fully equitable approach to STEM education across South Carolina.
