B.A., Erskine College (’70)

Profile

I came to Erskine following a long list or relatives who also came to Erskine. The main reason, however, was I visited my sister for a weekend at Erskine and had such a great time; I wanted to go to college here.

Neither my grades nor participation at Erskine were stellar. I was a Philo, member of the Psychology Club, and on the Arrow Staff.

I met my husband, Herbert Jordan here, but did not get married until 3 years after I graduated. Herbert’s company transferred him around several times, so I was looking for a new job in each new location. Most of my jobs were in outside sales for several different companies depending on where we were. I cherish my time at Erskine, and the lifetime friendships I made there. Many people have told me how fortunate I am to have such ongoing relationships, and I know that is true.

We have 2 dogs and enjoy traveling. Not long before Herbert retired, after having lived in Spartanburg, SC for 26 years, we decided to return to Due West. We are happy here and glad we made that decision.
