Janice Lee graduated from Erskine College with a degree in chemistry before earning her DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She then completed a two-year residency at MUSC Children’s Hospital, specializing in pediatric dentistry. Her career led her to Atlanta, where she owned and operated a private pediatric dental practice for over 20 years. She resides in Atlanta with her husband, Frank Hightower. They have two college-aged children, the younger of whom currently attends Erskine.

Why I Serve

It is an honor to serve an institution that has given so much to me and so many others. Erskine supported me, believed in me, and afforded me incredible opportunities—such as spending my junior year studying abroad at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Returning to campus feels like coming home; you can truly feel the genuine care for students, alumni, and the broader community. It is deeply humbling to work alongside fellow alumni to support Erskine’s mission.

It is a privilege to give back to a place that truly invests in its students and to help pay it forward through time, prayer, effort, and financial contributions.
